Military Banner Recognition Program

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Village of Machesney Park’s Military Banner Recognition Program recognizes selfless individuals that are serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces. Up to 16 honorary banners will be displayed in the median on N. Second St., south of Harlem Rd., between Presidents' Day and Veterans Day each year.

To participate in this program, applicants shall complete this form and submit a photo of the honoree, along with a $150 fee for the cost of the banner. After the banner is no longer displayed, it will be given to the applicant to keep. Sponsors are responsible for providing complete information regarding the honoree and an official military color portrait of the honoree in a digital format with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher, in his or her uniform, for display on the banner.

Completed forms may be dropped off at Village Hall or emailed to carrieh@machesneypark.org. Payments may be made with cash, check or credit card at Village Hall or online with our payment portal. If using the online payment portal, click the Non-Citizenserve Permits link and type Military Banner in the Permit field; and type the honoree's name in the Site Address field.
