IL 251 Sidewalk Construction to Begin May 4

MACHESNEY PARK, IL (May 3, 2023) – On Thursday, May 4, crews will begin the reconstruction of the sidewalk along the west side of IL 251 between Shoreland Road and Peachtree Circle. Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the lane restriction. Construction is expected to last approximately two months.
